DUSTY JOHN

Dusty grew up in Zimbabwe and has been involved in a wide variety of sports from rugby to hockey to water polo and cross country.  He also represented the Zimbabwe national triathlon team for 3 years.

After living in Australia for a year he moved back to Zimbabwe where he built his own garage gym, but with no access to “proper equipment” Dusty had to build everything from scratch, using old fuel tanks from a front end loader for box jumps and weight plates made from old flywheels from international haulage trucks!

Dusty trained clients from his gym for 4 years before moving over to the UK where he quickly got involved in sports foundation coaching for 2-8 year olds, which led him to get his Level 2 CrossFit and CrossFit Kids certification.

Dusty’s biggest dislike is a balanced meal, he much prefers the meal of champions – tea and digestives (but shhhh – don’t tell the CrossFit Kids)!

Dusty leads our Kids and Teens programme and you can find him at CrossFit 2012 teaching them on Wednesday evening and Sunday evenings. He also coaches regular CrossFit classes on Monday evenings.
